Singapore-based green energy company Vena Group has reached financial close on the 80.6-MWp Astra Solar Power Project in Ilocos Norte, the Philippines.
According to Renewables Now, the project will be supported by a senior debt facility of approximately PHP 2.7 billion (around USD 44.9 million) provided by Security Bank.
Once operational, the Astra Solar facility is expected to generate around 142 GWh of clean electricity annually. This is enough to supply roughly 120,500 households and avoid approximately 95,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The entire output has already been contracted.
On-site construction is currently underway, with commercial operations targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Astra project expands Vena's growing solar footprint in Ilocos Norte, where the company already operates two existing plants and is developing the 300-MWp Opus Solar project.
