Key Points for Helical Pile Installation
Pre-Installation Preparation
Conduct a site survey to identify and avoid underground utilities and large obstructions.
Clear the work area and clearly mark all pile locations.
Three-Step Installation Process
Vertical Placement: Use a level to ensure perfect vertical alignment during initial installation.
Torque to Specification: Drive the pile until the target installation torque is reached-then stop immediately (Critical Step!).
Document Data: Record the final depth and installation torque for each pile.
Important Precautions
If refusal is met, do not force installation. Report the issue immediately.
Use a cold-cutting saw (abrasive saw) for any required pile trimming. Apply zinc-rich paint to any cut surfaces.
When attaching mounting structures, tighten bolts in a cross-pattern sequence.
